Twenty three weeks and two days.

I can't help thinking of a friend who sufered a similar loss and the echo of her words: "two with feet, one with wings". So applicable here as these two babes grow and flourish under the watchful eye of their sister.
Ali (mother of five boys including triplets)

This picture of Oliver sums up many feelings we have had over the last couple of weeks as many of us have come to deal with Emerson's demise. We have the equipment and understanding of how to use it but we don't know or understand it all.

There is a verse in the Bible that sums this up for me. Isaiah 55:9 - For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Brooke had a visit with Dr. T (her doctor in Louisville). The ultrasounds looked great. The problem that was on the last fetal echo is no longer there. Both girls fluid levels are also good. Dr. T wants to start Brooke on steroids as a precaution in the event of premature delivery. The steroids help mature the baby's lungs, preparing them for use before they would normally be ready. She continues with weekly appointments.

Yesterday, Brooke felt the babies on the outside of her belly for the first time! So strong :)
