Today was another very special day in our families lives!  Three years ago today, we found out that Peanut, a.k.a. Oliver, would be joining our family.  No one could have prepared me for what that would mean.  I have heard friends who had grandchildren try to explain just how wonderful it is and how much love they had for their children's children.  I would just smile and think "one day".  

Now, today, I am one of those who tries to explain that love to others less fortunate or perhaps just not at that phase in life.  It's like being pregnant with your second baby and wondering "how can I love this child (inutero) as much as I love the one I have".  You just do!  It's exponential.  Love multiplies when a child (grandchild) is added to the family.  Same thing when The Girls came into our lives.

Speaking of The Girls went to the Pediatrician and here are their latest stats:
Coeur d'Lane weighs 14 pounds 7 ounces and is 25 1/4" long.  Lennon is 14 pounds and 25" long.   Big girls!

Today the sky was blue, and so was I. Sharon Schmidt Twenty two weeks and one day. Chris, Sue, Morgan and I got up early to get breakfast and get to the hospital. Brooke slept well last night, thanks to Dr. "Ambien". Connie, the sonographer, came in to take Brooke to get the ultrasound. As expected, Emerson's heart wasn't beating. As I was reminded today, her spirit and a good friends' recent loss, are playing together on the other side. Coeur d'Lane and Lennon are doing well. They were so busy in there, moving, sucking on their hands - so sweet. Their heart rates are in a good range and their fluid levels remain in a good range. The average delivery occurs about 10 weeks after this procedure. We want Coeur d'Lane and Lennon to get big and stay in as long as possible! We won't have to worry about Emerson now. We focus our attention on the future. Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow; it empties today of its strength. Corrie Ten Boom

It's 4:15 AM and we just got back from the hospital. Zoe is snuggled up between Ray and I. Ray is already sleeping, loudly :-) I have to post a couple of pics of the girls before I go to sleep. For you birth junkies and detail-loving folks, I will post the birth story later today. Meanwhile, enjoy these pics (CdL on Left and Lennon on Right)! Goodnight! Gigi

Day 6 of 30 Things I Want my Children and Grandchildren to Know About Me If you could have three wishes, what would you wish for? I first have to say that this question was not worded correctly.  Any of us has the ability to wish or hope for anything we want.   I believe the author of the list meant to say - If you could have three wishes granted ...  So, I will answer the question as if I found a genie in a bottle and he granted me three wishes.  I bet you're wishing I didn't go into all of this detail about the question! Wish #1 - Anyone who knows me knows this has to be at the top of the list!  I wish my family (children, grandchildren, parents and siblings) lived on a mountaintop in Tennessee.  A self-sufficient family commune.  Far enough from each other to enjoy alone time but close enough to be there in a flash. Wish #2 - I wish I could give wish #3 to someone who would wish for something more valuable for mankind.  Not the stereot...
